Has anyone put 255/45s on 18x8 wheels?

According to the michelin tire size guide, their 255/45ZR18 can go on anywhere from an 8.0 - 9.5 rim. So my question isn't so much of is it ok to do, rather than has anyone mounted that size tire and how did it look? Did it look like too much sidewall buldging from the rim, or did it look ok?

I was considering moving my 245/45s to the front which would give me 26.8" overall dia in the front and 26.9 overall dia in the back.

TIA for any help.

Do you have the 275's on stock 8x18 rims? Please advise. I am looking at going to the following

245/40/18 front
275/35/18 rear

Did you need to make any mods or all just fit well.

thanks

TC

luv2, is correct they're 17in rims...8in wide all the way around

front: 255/45 r17
rear: 275/40 r17

no mods needed, they fit in there just fine...

I added 25mm H&R spacers in the rear, to help "fill out" the wheelwell a bit more since they're only 17in rims
I also put in 350z springs & cut 3/4in off the rear bump stops. To drop it some.

The lower picture above is from last year it's the 255 on the rear with out any spacers.
The upper picture above is of the 275 with the 25mm spacer.

Why does the spacer seem to add so much negative camber? Or do you have adjustable camber arms on there?

I also dropped the car, probably about an inch!

That did most of it, plus spreading the tires out has an effect on the susp angles...

think trig!! triangle & angles and length
