Re: HRE Wheels.....Which 1?

Uh, I'll say the 340s, since they're the only ones for under $1000 each. And yet, hilariously, are the only ones that aren't offered on their Toyota Celica wheel fitting screen. I'm really starting to have trouble understanding this whole custom wheel thing. Do people actually spend $4000 on wheels for a Celica? Do they have some sort of brain damage? That's just insane to me.

You just have to do a little work for now to create a URL link. Like everything else, lots of things to imporve but not time to do them.
List is long but hopefully we can get some done.

I'm getting the 54?. I'm not going to post which ones cause I don't want anyone else to get them. I did the reseach and HRE does make the lightest 3 piece (Works where preaty light too). The 546 19x9 are 23 lbs. My first pick where the Racinghart C4, but the rep. said that 19x9 where 32 lbs.

Did you check with Fikse? I don't have their 19" weights, but their 3 piece 18x10s are only 20 pounds and are slightly less expensive than HRE (in the $900 range for 19s, I think). Also, are you determined to go with 9" wide? It seems like it's one of those quirky sizes that don't get much attention, because there are 9.5s and even 10"s that are about as light, but a big weight drop if you go 8.5.

What's a good place to check out Work wheels? Doing a Google search in them is a bit tedious (stupid trucks), and the Japanese site has a whole bunch of models that I don't think are actually theirs.

Re: HRE Wheels.....Which 1?

I have not checked out Fikse, since I have my heart set on the HRE's. I've found that some companies make really light 18's, but don't make the same model in 19's. There are a lot of really light weight 18's out there, like the Volk TE-37 and RH CP10. But my car came with 18's, so why buy another set of 18's. As for 9" wide, I’m planning to go with 8.5” in the front and 9.5” in the rear. I asked for the weight of a 19X9 so I could get the relative weight of all 3 sizes and not have to ask him 3 times. I'm not sure how wide I’m going, but weight is a big factor and I don't plan to put on any more rubber than my car can use. 19X9 might be harder to re-sell in the long run, but I think most people will not care weather your rims are 9" wide or 10". And those who do, probably only have 16" rims. I've noticed that those who criticize can't do better.

Here’s a link to Work Rims http://www.wheelexperts.com

The site was down at the time of posting.

Re: HRE Wheels.....Which 1?

I just found the Volk TE-37 in 19's, so no one correct me, ok! If you're looking for 1 piece 19's get those. All the kids will want them too, so watch out.
