I think Proxes 4 have great reviews too and its relatively cheaper by a dozen. Maybe you should consider that too.

They look nice, cool trad pattern and decent tread wear rating. I don't see the size I need though.

My OEM's 17"s 235/50/17 and 225/50/17 . Does Toyo make these or do I put a diff size on?

Oh..... yours is a AT coupe???

I didn't know you are finding specific sizes but if you are comparing tires alone, the proxes 4 are really not bad, some M5 owners used them as well.

Yes, a CB 03 AT Coupe. Are there Toyos Proxes 6 that fit?

I'd like to stay with the 17" rims for now.

Yeah exactly. Read the reviews on the Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S. It's getting raved like crazy and they cost less.

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...jsp?type=UHPAS

Top five (in order) according to Tirerack.com:

1. Pirelli PZero Nero M&S
2. Avon Tech M550 A/S (never heard of this brand tire before!)
3. Michelin Pilot Sport A/S
4. Continental ContiExtremeContact
5. Kumho ECSTA ASX
6. Yokohama AVS dB S2

I've got the Michelins. I like them in every respect EXCEPT tread wear. The center of the tire wears out far too quickly in my opinion.

You can take a look at the Toyo website, but most of them in 17" are 45 sidewalls. I am not expert on sizes and don't have much experience with the coupe 17s so maybe someone can help him out.

I think maybe u can try 235/45 R17 in front and 245/45 R17 in the rear. This is won't throw your speedo off (same diameter) but the sidewall is thinner and ride might be slightly stiffer. I don't know the width of those 17s so this is the best advice I can give ya if you want Proxes 4.

Thanks Renesis...that is the type of info I'm looking for.

I'd like to stick with the 17's as $$ is tight right now. I'll check out the Pirelli's

Can someone chime in and let me know if the 235/45's will be ok instead of the 50's

Also is it poss to go with 245's on the rear of the stck 17's?? Instead of 235's

Thanks all.

I like both the Pirelli's and the Toyo's mentioned above. Good prices too!

It is absolutely OK as long as the tire can fit on the wheels. Do you know the width of your wheels??

The general rule for tires is, if width increases by 10, then sidewall decreases by 10.
That way, the diametere of your tires will always stay within 1% for sure.
