Talking Got my Tokicos - WOW

I got my Tokico D-Specs installed on my SEDAN. (with 350Z OEM springs)

It's amazing what a difference they make.
You can feel them in the first 50' down the road.

It totaly transforms the feel of the car.
suspension bounce.............GONE
harsness............................GONE
suspension dynamics..........ROCK SOLID

This is easily the best mod I've done on this car.
Here are a few pics...
1 & 2 shows the difference in shaft length.
#3 shows the location for the rear shock tower......
An added benefit to the rear seat recliners is that you can get in to make adjustment w/o removing the seats.

Are those 350Z D-specs??
How much did you pay for them??
Can you comment on the ride compared to OEM?

Are your comment's on bouce based on the oem sport suspension, or on the oem 350Z suspension.

I totally agree with you on the shocks, using them on oem 350Z shocks will give sedan owners a 1" drop on all linear springs. And you have double adjustable shocks to change ride quality to suit a individual owner's taste. All for no more then $580 including the springs. I can post a pic of what the drop looks like on a sedan, but I don't want to steal away from your post.

Yeah, I am getting these if I can sell my Revised Z shocks. But so far no luck, no one wants to take the suspension from me for some reason. If someone wants the whole set, I can trade them for a set of Z springs + money of course.
Is the doubt about different spring rates for old and revised Z suspension resolved/?

My sedan is a sport suspension model, but I was running Eibach springs.
Bounce wasn't extreme, but the change with rebound dampening is amazing.
I really like getting back to the consistency of a linear setup as well.

If you have some pics handy feel free to post...
I haven't got arround to getting any ride pics yet

I got the DSP-7 (coupe).
I talked to Tokico & they say the valving is identical
& since I was doing a minor drop, I went with DSP-7

I really don't think it's a big deal either way, but for a dropped coupe
install or a lower sedan drop I'd go with DSP-9 (350z)

Cost is just under $500

Ride is wonderfull, you can dial it in to what ever you like.
But even on a setting comparable to OEM,
the D-Specs are far superior due to the rebound dampening.

That's really odd, I know the sedan ad coupe Eibach's allow the car to move around more freely in responce to weight transfer (dive, squat, turn in), seen that with my own eye's to. But, I have never ever heard of anyone mentioning bounce. How many miles do you have on your shocks? I'd hate to think it's something that doesn't get mentioned in review's because people only want to gloss the good.

Do you know how much did the DSP-7 dropped your sedan??
I want to know which one I should go for and with OEM Z springs or Z H-tech springs so that I don't need camber kits.

BTW I am planning on getting new wheels too with 245/40 R18 as well but still comparing the weight of the RP03 with Gram lights 57C or 57S. I wonder if the 18 x 8.5 with +40 will look better. Maybe Gsedan35 know something about the weight of those wheels. The RP03 (in the right offset) is only good in 18 x 8 +40 and soem say it doesn't look flush with the fender but from lookign at gsedan35's pictures, it doesn look too bad (same offset and size).

Shocks do not effect ride height. You will not need a camber kit with oem Z springs installed on a sedan.

Gsedan35-are there any spacers on the rear's in those pics? My g sat alot lower in the rear after putting on the 350z springs. The front sat higher than the rear.

I don't think he was running D-specs on his car (if memory serves me right).

The H-techs have a lower spring rates, right?? Do I need a camber kits for it then?

Wow, you can adjust the rears from the inside on the sedan?! If I could have done that with my Coupe, I would have kept these shocks.

Car looks good.
