Will 20 inch wheels cause any probs with awd on the g35x?
If any one can be of help here I would greatly appreciate it. I have a BS 05 X that is just begging me for a set of 20's. Every time I walk out to the garage she starts asking over and over for a set of big a$$ wheels to fill in those wheel wells and make her shine. My question is: Will placing wheels and tires with a larger overall diameter on the X cause any problems? My instinct tells me No. I would assume that as long as all four wheels are the same diameter as well as the tires that things should be fine. If anyone has a more definitive answer on this subject or has 20's on an X and could give me details of their experience I would greatly appreciate it. I'm heading to the wheel shop very, very soon and would like to feel a bit more secure in the fact that my baby will be okay with her new shoes.
Thanks in advance. As soon as she gets her shoes I'll post some pics.

I got a RWD with 20x8.5 +35 offset with 245/35/20 all the way around. The car looks perfect and very clean. It completes the car really nicely. You get a nice flush look as well.
As for the AWD, the same set up will be ok. However, remember your car is 1/2" higher than the RWD so you will definately need to consider dropping that car to fill the gap.
I chose the 20's because in my opinion, it fits the car a lot better for looks and practicality. It is 0.44" higher than stock. But that is better than 0.5" shorter than stock with 19's.
Ride quality is very good on stock suspension (RWD). You have to know your car really well and pay attention to notice the difference. It handles better for sure.
Use this wheel calculation and you will see for yourselves
