Tokico Shocks
Tokico Shocks
I just saw a post a couple days ago explaining the differance between the G's version and the Z's version of the Tokico shocks. I tried searching, but can't find it again. Basically my question is, I have tein s-techs for the 350z on my g35 coupe. Should I get the G tokico shocks or the 350z tokico shocks, or doesn't it matter?

Your springs are shorter now.
The shocks should be too.
Don't know your actual measurements, but...
you run the risk of a bent shock if the shaft is too long for the spring.

as a reference, im runing 358 front (max) and 463 rear (max) and the ride gets
a tad stiff when gas is lower than 1/4... but otherwise, even on 19's S03's the
ride is very smooth (no jarring, no hopping, etc). my setting is 4.75 front, 4.5 rear.
I tried 4.5 front, 4 rear and it was too stiff for me for my application.

Kenchan,
Are those progressive springs? The S-techs for the 350Z are linear rear and a little progressive in the front. I think progressive springs offer a softer initial ride quality. I'm also running 38 (44 max) psi on my T1-S tires. You're in Chicago, it would be interesting to compare our car's ride qualities (18" vs 19" and linear vs progressive)
