I disagree on the Kumho tires. I had four KUMHO ECSTA Supra 712 on my 98' Mercedes SLK and I swore I will never go back to those tires ever. I spun out three times in one year with these tires on and I vouched never to return to them. Sure they were dirt cheap and used in Japan for racing but these things were not safe. Thats just my 2 cents

Kumho 712's suck... they are good tires for the price, though. But if you want performance with good value, Kumho MX's are very good tires. I have them on my rear wheels and I am happy with them so far after 1000miles.

Toyo FZ-4's are good all-season tires, but the grip levels are no contest to summer only max performance tires. They are not really all-season anyway... from what I have heard, they suck in snow.

my friend just got a set, said he loves them. i was in the car w/ him the other day. those things are really quiet.... looks good on the G too!!

What model "G" do you have. I have a regular sedan (17in) and wonder if these tires would be good for me.

I have the 03' Coupe with standard 17"s. Check your rim size (see owner's manual), mine are 7.5 in front and 8 in rear so the 235/45/17s in front and 245/45/17s in the rear worked out fine. I love these tires, the grip is awesome wet and dry and sound is very quiet. 30 psi and barely feel the bumps. Compared to other ultra all season tires these are ranked right up there if not at the top.

It is my understanding that the stock RS-A's are not too bad in all weather conditions. Although on slick pavement, the tires do have trouble gripping when punching it off the line. As far as snow (we had 3 snow storms in Chicago this winter - figures it'd happen the first year I buy a sports car...), they were not too bad. The car still got stuck a few times, but hell, that happened to a lot of people. My question is, are there tires better not only in snow/rain, but dry as well then the RS-A's?

I hear the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S falls into the jack-of-all-trades category quite nicely.

enjoy those proxes-4's. i've had them for 4 months now, they are awesome!!!. i've got a 35 series tire (check sig), i find it challenging to try and break them loose occasionally on corners. they bring life to my g.

i did find it amusing that in your original post you used quote, unquote, and used the quotes as well. i know you just were excited about those tires.
