Cool Need help on SEDAN offset.

need help.

I am looking to geta set of AXIS HIRO or Supermesh for my 04 DG sedan.
The shop said i would have to go with 19x8.5 all around with 45 offset
and 235/35/19 tires all around. is that true?
are those going to work on the sedan and look good?anyone out there with 19x8.5 and +45 all around setup. if so, please post some pic.

can we get the staggered setup for Sedan? if so, what's the best offset for front and rear, also, what's the best tire size to get for front and rear.

thanks for help.

yes that will work. If you want staggered you need to go with 19x8.5 + 35 front and 19x9.5 +45 rear, 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 respectively.

That will give you a nice flush look. I own the Axis Milano with 20x8.5 +35, 245/35/20 all around and it fits perfect.

8.5" at +45 offset will work nicely for your sedan at stock ride height.

It will however not look its best (subject to oppinion) at lower ride height, due to the associated increase in negative camber (tuck in). One could always resort to using wheel spacers to bring them back out.

A more ideal offset for a lowered sedan would be +38 for the 8.5" wide wheels.

With respect to tire size ... 245/35-19 is a much better choice.

... in that case, definitely go lower offset than +45.

At approx. -2" ride height and looking to use the 19" x 8.5" wide wheels all around, I would recommend the followings:

1. +38 wheel offets
2. 245/35-19 Tires

They will fit/look very nicely!

Yes 245/35-19 is a more ideal size tire to use.

with +35 offset?
No ... please read my previous post. Use +38 offset.

what's the different between +38 and +45?
thanks
The difference is 7mm of displacement.

Ahh Yiah Yiah ... make up your mind! Do you want 19x8.5" all around or not?

If you're looking to run 9.5" rear ... then you'll want +50 offset and that's tough to come by. You can go with somwthing as low as +42 offset, but that'll require a either fender clip/roll and/or dial in more negative camber so rubbing is not an issue.

Sedan
If you go with 8.5" all around then you'll want a +38mm offset or a little bigger (+40mm). The advantage here is you'll be able to roatate your tires.

If you go with the staggered set-up, you'll want 8.5"/+38mm front, 9.5"/+45mm.

With the 8.5" wheel consider a 245/40/19 tire.

There is a wheel fitment chart for the G35 sedan that someone made. It is awesome. I think it's on g-owners.com or you can google for it. You'll find it.

I have it and can email it but the attachment is too big for the forum. email me @ erik.jacobs@dgtrials.com and I'll send it to whomever wants.

I uploaded the chart here:

http://www.DGTrials.com/g35wheels

There's also an old video of me drifting my sedan. This was pre-figuring out how to remove the VDC fuse, so ABS was active. The first half of the first run I didn't have the traction control off, either.

It's funny because you can totally see the ABS screw me over when I tap the brakes to extend the drift. The car just stops. Oh well!

is the bigger offset mean the wheels will come out more than the smaller offset wheels?
