I Have A Set Of Iforged Daytona On Order(3 Piece Rim) 20's. Im Thinking About Go To A 2 Piece, So I Was Just Wondering What Are The Positives & Negatives In A 3 Piece Over A 2 Piece Rim.. I Know Weight & Price. Is There Any Other?

I've heard some 3pc wheels have a groove in the center of the rim. If you drive while its raining, water can collect there and throw your wheel out of balance like mad. You just have to get the water out to continue on, but I hear its a pain. I think most newer designed 3pc dont have that now.

Quality should be the same regardless if its from the same company. The main issue would be weight, 3 piece wheels in general will weigh more (the added weight of rivets and separate mounting pieces). You can fix 3 piece wheels more easily because of the modularity. Its mostly on personal preference I believe, two piece is cleaner and basic, three piece is showier.

 

With a 3 piece you'll be able to disassemble the face portion of the wheel from the hoop. If you ever bent a lip, you can get just the lip replaced for a 3 piece.
