Need some help with offsets for 20" GT-Cs

Hello knowledgeable g35 owners,

I'm planning on getting some 20" gunmetal Volk GT-C (face 2) in the next couple weeks for my Lakeshore G35 coupe. I'm currently running on stock suspension and don't have any immediate plans to drop it. I would like to get a nice size lip without having to roll my fenders. Can anyone please suggest the proper offsets for 20x8.5 fr, 20x9.5 rr? Thanks for your help.

I've photoshopped the picture below to visualize what I want. My apologies for the hack job.

Im in this same boat, I want RBC finish but that limits me to the same sizes as above. What kind of lip would +22 offset get us. anyone have any pics?

8.5 +25, 2.25 lip (approx), 9.5 +22, 3.2" lip (approx)

I was looking into the same just last week and heard there was only one set left in gunmetal at Mackin Industries. If they don't have them anymore there will be at least 3 month wait if order them.

Based on what I have, I'd go for a +20 on a 8.5" rim, and a +25 for a 9.5. Those specs should give you a fairly flush look with no rub (even with camber correction). If you want a very flush aggressive look, I'd go for +17 on a 8.5 or +20 on a 9.5 front and a +25 on a 10.5" Those specs will probably be on the very edge, if you don't fix the camber you will be fine, but if you do fix the camber expect to do a little bit of fenderwork though nothing radical.

Also, because you are going for Volks I believe the offset selection is limited, so the +22 around with the staggered rims should be fine.

Shouldn't be any different from 18" or 19" wheels... just do a search on offset and I bet you will find tons of info

youp, and three months is a very verrrry long time. DOes anyone know if it actually takes 3 months to make rims...or is it just the wait for two months and on the thrid month they're like...hmmm...okay, I think we'll start production on some wheels. hehe. sorry, just ventin'...

Thanks for the info. So I see a difference in opinion with regards to the offsets. Seeing as the rim width affects the offset, is the 2-5mm variance between Chico and shl1111's recommended offsets going to make a crucial difference with regards to clearance? or will either setup fit? BTW, I have the stock brakes.

The info on offsets that I gave you is what VOLK recommends for our cars. They will fit without any problems. Nobody can give you better information, other than the wheel manufacturer that you're buying.

Call Mackin so you can speak to them and they will answer all your questions.

its 3 months for importation and etc.

their already made in japan.. just takes time to get them here etc.

i had to wait 8 months for my SSR's .. if i had waited 1 more i would have never gotten them. (when they filed bankruptcy...they kept all the money for pending orders and didnt send any wheels etc....im so glad i got mine)

but im proud to say i have the only set of wheels in the world like mine..

wait for em... 20" gt-c are worth 3 months
