Anyone have experience with Bilstein shocks? I own some for my 4x4 truck and they're awesome. I've never heard anything about them passenger car industry. Anyone here run these or know if they're any good?

I had Bilsteins on my 03 Cobra. They do make them for passenger cars, but as far as I know, there is no kit for the G.

highly regarded in the euro aftermarket.

Says it fits 03-05 350Z which will fit 03-05 G's?

i thought it was a factory option in Japan for the skylines.

not that i'd recommend Bil's.. never been on em' for the G so can't
say if they are good or bad.... I use Tokico's and happy with my setup
though.

its really expensive to even consider it. could get better aftermarket coilover for the price.

but its really good shocks.

Bilstein has coilovers, didn't know they made shocks seperately for the G35/350Z. Here's a passage taken from one of GSedan35's post.

Bilstein PSS coil over (Monotube construction, non adjustable dampners)
Special Note: Mild spring rates, but Bilstein says the dampners are performance valved
Spring rates 370/240-420 (rear progressive)
Stiffer then oem by F +18% R +23% (at peak rear spring rate)
Transfers +5% roll stiffness to rear
Sidenotes: IMO, I would ditch the rear springs that come with the kit and swap in Eibach ESS springs 425lbs in rate

Well, I stand corrected. I loved the Bilsteins on my Cobra-a great shock/strut.

The Bilsteins are fine with oem springs, and I can't stress this enough, as long as you run DO NOT run them with aftermarket springs of any kind. Even Bilstein will tell you this, don't run them with stiffer then oem springs, they don't have the valving for that. I warned a 350Z owner about this and he didn't listen. Then came the post's "help, my car rides terrible what should I do". He ended up whoaring them out on ebay for $275, which was his 3rd attempt at listing them. He could have revalved them for $65 per shock, which is cheaper then what Koni want's to revalve ($100). But really, just buy Koni's or Tokico's.

The JDM Bilstein's, which are sold as a set with springs are a totally seperate R&D effort from the shocks Bilstein has out now. Those JDM Bilstien's do not feature valving to get excited about, nor are the spring rates better then the aftermarket offers.

I think PSS coilovers to a nice product when your needs are met by them.

I installed a set on my coupe, shocks over OEM springs. Its the way that infiniti should have built the G. I highly recommend them, No nonosense suspension. The car solid and firm.
