Are two different tires OK?
Are two different tires OK?
Is it OK to go with different tires front to rear.
Something like this...........
Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 255 35 19 front
Goodyear F1 Supercar EMT 285 35 19 rear
I want to get 285 for my 19 x 10.5 +29 volk wheels because I don't know much about stretching, but that leaves me with few choices.
The Eagle F1 does come in a 275, but like I said I don't know much about stretching, all I know is that it will fit.

i considered the samething a while back but after talk with tech guy at tire rack,i changed my mind and go with BFgoodrich G-Force KWD2 :245/35/19-285/35/19.
2 different tires are NOT performs the same, not wear the same and not rated the same.also those are runflat tires.the walls are very stiff.result rough ride and more road noise.go with BF

It would affect the handling of the car. If the front tires are stickier, you'll be prone to fishtailing. If the rear tires are stickier, you'll tend to understeer more than normal.
I wouldn't recommend it, unless you only ever drive it like a passenger car, nothing spirited or aggressive.
