350z Suspension, Sway Bars on their way..recommendations?

First, I'd like to REALLY thank gsedan35! He is absolutely helpful in everything and any question I could come up with. Anyways, my 2005 350Z suspension (Shocks and Struts) + Stillen 5 way Sways + Prothane Bushings are on their way... so I'm asking all the Sedan people who have swapped suspension and/or installed sways if there are any tips that would be helpful during the swap, and how long did it take for you guys to swap the respective pieces? Also, what settings are you using for the sways?

Thanks again!

Tip for swapping suspension. Undo the upper control A-arm in the fronts to get the stock shock and spring assembly out. Will save you lots of time and trouble. Took me 5 hours doing it myself without undoing the upper control A-arms.

Since the 350z suspension is pretty close to the G35 sports suspension (not exact, but much closer than the non-sports) do I have to worry about a camber kit, or is the camber not going to be able to get that close to the OEM spec?

If you want everything to be within factory specs you will have to get a camber kit for the front and/or back. If you don't mind being a little bit out of spec then no, you won't need one. As long as you get a good alignment, your tire wear will not suffer. As a quick warning it is not uncommon for lowered Sedans to have a 0.2 - 0.4 difference in the front camber from left to right. After putting on my 350Z suspension and getting an alignment my front drivers side camber was -.9 and my front passengers side was -1.3.

dklau33-Do you see an improvement with the 350z over the stock Sedan suspension? Do you have sways, and if so, what settings?

Oh definitely. The 350Z shocks and springs give a significant improvement in the handling department when pushing it compared to stock sedan sport suspension and even greater so compared to the stock sedan non-sport suspension. The shocks are valved tighter. This was easily confirmed when I took my car to the track at Buttonwillow and did a back to back comparison in my car and another 6MT sedan with stock sport suspension. Be warned though some people complain about the bounceiness of the original unrevised 350Z shocks which, I have. That issue was addressed by Nissan with the revised 350Z shocks sometime in the '04 MY but to what extent I cannot say since I have not tried out that setup. I have the 350 EVO rear bar right now with the stock front bar. Experimented with the rear bar at the track and medium setting gave a tad bit too much oversteer. Put it on halfway between soft and medium and it felt a lot better. That's where I have it now.

Thanks! The suspension I bought is off a 2005 with only 100 miles on it, so its brand spanking new with the revision.

I think your problems with converting to shorter springs are the same as a non-sport.
