Mustang Wheels on G35?

I appologize in advance if this has been asked a million times (I did a search, but nothing came up).

I know that the hubs are different between a Mustang and a G35, however, if you ran a set of hub adapters, would Mustang wheels work? The reason I ask is because I've had mustangs for a long time and know someone who is selling an set of 18" wheels really cheaply and I'd like to upgrade from the stock 17" ones. The car has is an 03 sedan with the standard brakes.

Is anyone running a set of mustang wheels?

Thanks,

Paul

Care to elaborate? What's crazy about it. I didn't say they were OEM GT wheels.

By they way, they are 18x8.

if the bolt pattern is the same and the offset is good i dont see a probelm with it.

if the bolt pattern is off then you gonna spend more money modding it to fit. At that point is it even worth it.

Im with court, I think anyone who sees "mustang wheels" is going to assume you meant OEM mustang wheels. Do you have any pics of these wheels or a photoshop?

actually the maxima guys throw on Cobra wheels all the time and they actually look pretty good. I think that would mean 35-38 offsets, probably making them more suited for a sedan over a coupe.

Lots of varations too. Anyway, change the center caps and they arent that bad.. but think there are better deals out there that look similar and better... unless you get the Mustang/Cobra wheels for a deal.

PJK,

To each his own, however I would not put those wheels on your G. You can probably get some decent OEM 18'' wheels here on this forum. But it is your car

I don't know the specs for the wheels you are thinking of putting on your sedan. I'll give you what will fit and maybe you can figure out if they will work or not.

Bolt pattern is 5 x 114.3mm. With an 8" wide wheel you would need an offset of about +33 all the way up to +45 although the wheels would be tucked WAY in at +45.

I think you should post a pic of the wheels you are talking about. I want to know if I should flame you or not.
