i have tien CS and i think that they would fit your requirements nicely. my car is a daily driver and i wanted something slightly more stiff than stock. i am running mine at almost its stiffest setting and its perfect. it sounds like you might prefer something a bit softer than what i like, so i say go with CS on the mid/softer settings. oh yeah, flex at its softest is harder than CS at its hardest.

Trendy choices should not govern quality choices. TEIN makes some quality items, some of which arent available to the US market. But there are others out there that make better products (in this case suspensions dampers) than TEIN. I gave an example of a peice that is (imo) better than TEIN FLEX dampers and they're not overkill on the price. besides, I wasnt going away from context, he asked what's the best coilover out there. I gave one in both quality and price.

And a piece of advice, don't make assumptions. I do have a liking to Volk and other things offered by Makin Industires.
