When I got my new Volk wheels recently, they came with centering rings. I should have know that when I saw that the package the rings came in was labeled "Honda Accord" that something was not quite right. Well they seemed to fit the wheels, but when I went to mount them to the car, it was a very tight fit. Now that I have removed a wheel, I see why the fit was so hard, the centering rings have self destructed. Half stayed on the hub, and the other half was inside the wheel center, (mangled of course). Clearly these were not the right rings.

I should also note that they were made out of hard plastic.

Shouldn't these things be metal?

Anyone know if an Accord and a G35 are supposed to use the same centering rings?

Nissans are 66.1mm center bore. Not sure wat Accords are.

plastics are okay for most people on street applications as the brakes do not get
hot enough to melt them. for track/autox you should get metal ones.

I bought my rings from the 1010tires.com site you linked above and they are great. My size was 73mm to 66.06mm which only came in plastic. Thus, whether you can get metal depends on the O.D. and availability. FYI, both my tuner shop and I searched far and wide for metal ones and we could not find any in that size.

Hope this helps.
