I'm sure you'll want a drop after the wheel install. Be sure to post pics.

Oh make no mistake - I want a drop so bad I can hardly sleep at night but with the 'X' factor there seems to be that little touch of voodoo involved.
I have seen pictures of Machineheads with no drop in this thread:

https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...light=lowering

and it doesn't look too bad. I do also want to wait until I have the wheels on to 1) sort out what sort of height I have to play with and 2) be able to know what changes in my ride are due to rims/rubber and and which are from the drop. I will be taking copious amounts of photos. All you guys who have helped with advice on these various aspects are welcome to request certain shots (no, no money shots ) ie. I wish someone would take this particular angle for a change. My gratitude knows no bounds although I am limited by a 3.2 mp camera and a 512mb card.

I would like to but as I have said before it is not unusual for us to be driving on closed roads in the winter and my wife has to travel out of town for her job quite regularly. We need all the ground clearance we can get on some occassions. I must say with the winter rims and Blizzaks on during the winter this car is a BEAST , quite often we take it instead of my Z71 4x4 when the roads are bad.

IF you were gonna do it what setup looks most 'X' friendly to your more experienced eye?

Big daddy, I have not given it much thought cause it's impractical for our car. But do a search on bigwilly on this board he's from the GTA and frequents the Canada section. He has an 04 G35X that he lowered with an Eibach Prokit and I think he is running 18s. Give him a PM to see how he likes the drop on his X.

Here are a couple of pics I'm sure you'd like to see. I think I found these pics in this forum a while ago.

I'm pretty sure he's got 8.5, +35 front and 9.5, +45 rear.
