ok...what I meant is that just by hitting a pot hole you are not going to bend them. I know from experience and I have hit pot holes before pretty hard. I was saying that they are NOT easy to mess up. AND if you do, since it is a 3 piece wheel, you only have to replace the outer. Outers do not go for more than $3-400. I'm pretty sure that you do not have Asanti's so your comments shouldn't affect someone's decision. If you hit a bad enough pot hole on ANY wheel there is a chance to mess them up. That's just common sense. That is the chance you take by getting nice wheels.

Joe...I drive to and from work 45 min every day as well. If you really like them I would go for it! You don't really pay THAT much more for Asanti's compared to other 3 piece wheels of the same quality.

for $5700 you can get a similar wheel from IForged (with Chrome lips) and still have enough left over for a set of coilovers - there is no way I would spend over $4k for ANY set of wheels and tires for a $35k car...

20x8.5 with 245/35 & 20x10 with 285/30 go between 4600-5000

keep in mind he he wants to go with 20x9.5 with 265/30 & 20x11 with 305/25 tires...... those sizes can get expensive

Asanti won't sell you the outer section, so I dont know where you pulled that and the $300-$400 out from? Don't believe me, call them. Neither will Volk (have em, tried to get the outer lip) nor will BBS (had them as well and have asked). Asanti does stand behind the wheel with a good warranty (pretty mch standard in the industry) in that if they "fail" or break apart on you under NORMAL use (has to be 100% NOT your fault) they will either fix it or replace the wheel, but you cant order just the outer lip directly from Asanti or anyone of their distributors, so "my friend" I may not own a set of Asanti's, but when I post something up on this forum I don't pull it out of my a.., its from common knowleged or experience.

Asanti's are nice wheels, never said anything bad about them, but they're priced way too high IMO, and when I commented "save your money" that was my opinion. When you stated they're stronger than.... It left me thinking stronger than what? What makes them better and logicallly thinking I couldnt come up with one reason or bit of info, which is why I posted what I did. Yor response has still yet to convince me in any way or form why they're "stronger than that"... I hit pot holes all the time, and some rims I have had have dented and others havent. It has more to with the driver, the speed at which the vehicle is going, tires on the wheels, the weight of the vehicle, suspension setup, etc.. that will ultimately determine whether or not the rim will be damaged. How the rim is made and what's it made out of helps a little, but any wheel can be damaged.

Once again to state Asanti's are stronger than that... You need to follow up with what makes them stronger than the rest and provide us "less knowing" people with some good info as to why shelling out the big bucks for Asanti's will offer us better protection...

Don't take it personally ...

Dog I don't know where you get your info from but I CAN GET THE OUTERS. I am not worried about whether or not YOU can get them. Maybe they don't like you or something...I wouldn't be surprised. Also, I am not worried about what you think, and what I stated before is ALSO my opinion. Never said they are "stronger than the rest." I was just saying that chances are that one pot hole like you said will not make them toast. And it does seem like you are "pulling it out of your ****" or over-exaggerating...one of the two. STOP CHANGING UP MY WORDS.
