Strut Bar info?

Hey what's up everyone?

This is my first post so please don't flame!

I'm looking into buying a DC Sports Front Strut (same for 350Z / G35)... Titanium, for my 03' G35 Coupe - 6MT .... supposed to be really good -- anyone use this one? or know how struts affect the handling (for better or worse)? Are they worth it? Any info would be helpful, thanks...

sorry about the non-hyperlinkage... I'm ghetto like that

Cheers,
DZ

The DC Sports bar is not out yet. I called them to confirm this. They said they're still working on it and it will probably be out around the end of the summer. You can get the Stillen rear strut tower brace which is out. http://performancenissanparts.com/ca...oducts_id=4094
You can also get the front and rear lower tie braces and the lower lateral brace. Those are available now.

OK... So how much do these bars help -- Front or rear? Is it worth it to get both? What's the difference between Sways / Struts?

Sedan35 -- your link doesnt work?
Thanks for trying, though..
Cheers..

Got the stillen sways on the front and rear, and now the car has no lateral roll in it when you make a shard turn and you can take corners so much harder ad faster now. lets see struts are mounted on the top and sways are underneth monted to the fram instead of the top of the shock towers

Front strut bars...
If you're running high spring rates (over 500lbs/in) and stiff damper
settings you should notice a dramatic difference while cornering.

You will only notice very little difference (if at all) on stock sus, and
maybe some difference while running low spring rate lowering
springs/damper settings (car like mine).

I was thinking I should get at least the front, but the way I drive this
car I don't think it's going to do too much. It's only less than
5% of the entire 2hr drive that I drive aggressively through the turns
out here in Chi-town...it doesn't make much sense setting up my entire
car for that 5%. Even so, my spring rates are pretty low so there's
still a lot of slop before the chassis flexes.

If I ever decide to make my car into a corner carver using Flex or
something, I'll give it a shot. Until then, I think Im going to go
stb-less on this car.
