More Pix...I LOVE my G!!! ^-^
Okay...so I haven't done anything else to it since the last time I posted pictures...but, I just love it so much I got camera-happy today!
Enjoy the Ride!!! ^-^
Enjoy the Ride!!! ^-^
Jimmy,
Your car looks awesome. I love it- looks just like mine, only 1/2" lower.
Could you (at your convenience) please measure the distance from the ground to fender on both the front and rear? I am really unhappy with my S.Tech's and am considering switching to the Espelir GT springs for a 350z.
I remember starting a thread comparing the spring rates, and these seem very aggressive, and just what I'm looking for.
Thanks!

vodka...
Thanks for the compliments! I looked up your posts & found pix of your ride right after you dropped it...you're right, almost exactly the same (minus your clear corners & tinted windows)! Hey - you've got GOOD TASTE, dude! hahaha...
I don't have a tape-measure, but I'm sure my friends do...so, next time I go to the shop, I'll measure the height & post.
I gotta tell you though...with the drop so low, even after cutting off about half of the bump-stops, I bottom out the struts often. So, I'd expect them to start leaking & die soon...hahaha! Oh well, thats the price I have to pay I guess. I'll probably replace'em (the struts) w/ something shorter...I was reading some thread about using struts for 350Z since I'm using springs for 350Z. I don't know...for now, its cool.
The ride & handling is pretty good. I think the stock Sport Suspension springs are actually stiffer though...the coils themselves were thicker gauge when I compared them during the drop.
Anyways, on smooth roads & curves, it handles awesome. But, hit a dip or something & if it bottoms out, the rebound is kinda bad & sometimes the VDC will kick in 'cause it detects slippage.
In all honesty...I'm actually giving thought to just cutting a coil or two off the stock springs. They were stiff enough for handling, just need to be lower for looks. And since these springs have a pig-tail (vs flat) end, cutting should be okay.
**I know I'm about to get alot of flames for suggesting someone cutting springs on a G35...LOL**
Where in the Bay are you? I lived in San Leandro for 2.5 years & still have lots of friends in the City & East Bay...and, my sis lives in Menlo Park. ^-^
