Just got Tokico D-Spec shocks put on my car, and was wondering what others have them set to? Right now I have the front and rear at the factory starter setting, 5 turns CCW from the HARD setting. What settings are others using? Also, has anyone else found an "easy" way to get to the rear shocks for further adjustment? Thanks!!

 

Thanks for starting the post since I was going to do the same. Just had my dspecs installed with z springs for my sedan. I have the fronts set at 5 full turns for full firm. I haven't adjusted the back since it was installed at factory settings. Like the question above, is there a quick, easy way to access the back shocks for adjustment? Thanks.

 

My sedan has the adjustable rear seats. This makes it very easy for me. I am not sure how it ould be done otherwise.

 

im using 3.5F / 4.0 R

 

4.0 F/ 3.5 R here. The ride is stiffer than OEM but is still a little too soft for me. I might try 3.5 F / 3.0 R next. To adjust the rears, jack up the rear and unbolt the two 12mm bolts on the top of the shock. Pull down on the shock and you should be able to adjust from there.

Yeah, I'm on the 05 stock sways and I'm also running 350z RSRs and 245/275 toyo t1-s. I've played around with tire pressures to eliminate some understeer and I'm hoping that I can decrease the amount of understeer even more with stiffer rear and softer front shocks. I think the car is coming real close to what I want it to be. I'm thinking that some 350 evo sways (soft front med rear) should top it off pretty nicely. Anyone want to give me some donations?

 

You should get the f/r sways and set the front soft, rear med.

 

I have mine on 4.0 front and 3.5 rear.

front spring rate: max 358lbs/in
rear spring rate: max463lbs/in
swaybar set: front soft / rear med (stillens)

 

I just got mine put on but there is a rattling noise coming from the front everytime i hit a bump. We made sure all the bolts and nuts were torqued to OEM spec but dunno if this is the spring or shock making the noise. I have the sedan H Techs on too. We did not cut the bumpstop. Any ideas? THX!!

 

O yea.. i have mine at 5 turned f/r but will be adjusting as soon as i find out where this noise is from.

 

In my case I found that tightening top nut to OEM spec
was not tight enough to stop the rattling. A little tighter maybe ?

 

Which top nut? THere are 3 that hold the shock in place. Or are you talking about the 2 nuts at the top of the adjustment section at the top of the shaft?

 

I think he's talking about the nut on the piston shaft.
I just hand torqued mine with a small box wrench as I always do
on my cars. No rattles. no noise from my setup.
