I recall that the rule of thumb for the 350Z, is that a drop of more than 0.8" would require adjustable upper-arms, etc. For the sedan sitting on OEM 350Z springs (with the associated 1.0" drop), the ride-height, as measured from the front lower pivot to ground, should be very close to the the 350Z (the difference would be the extra ~70 lbs. weight carried by that spring). If that were true, alignment of the sedan with the OEM 350Z springs might be identical to the 350Z. Therefore, adjustable upper-arms, etc., may not be needed for the sedan until you drop it 0.8" from the OEM 350Z springs.

Of course, I don't know if this is true at all. It would, however, be easy to verify. Or, perhaps, I'm completely off base here. I certainly was off base when I thought that coil-over conversions for the Z/G were actually coil-overs front and rear!

I'll bring this back to the top again -

Is there anyone out there (preferable a coupe since that's what I have ) that has the newer 2005 OEM 350z springs installed?

I'm trying to decide if the higher rear rates would be a better alternative for autox racing or not. I can say that having my 350evo sways on stiff/stiff at the last event made the car very touchy at the limit where mistakes are not tollerated much. It wasn't bad to recover, but definately hard for a lesser-experienced driver to keep the wheels from slipping (especially in the rear). I'm thinking if I put the '05 OEM Z springs on my car, I'd have to lower the rear sway to a med setting and keep the fronts on full stiff...

Anyone have any more experience with the '05 springs?
