Lowering an 05 Coupe
Lowering an 05 Coupe
Hi guys I'm kind of a nooob at this so bare with me. I want to lower my 05 coupe with 350z H-tech springs. I was just wondering if I would sacrifice performance since the spring rate for the H-techs in the rear is lower than the stock 05 spring rate. thanks

Not really a sacrifice, at worst with a 15% softer rear spring rate drop you might have a touch more understeer. You'll want to equip the car with a set of adjustable sway bars anyhow, they can be used to dial in the car's at the limit behavior to your hearts desire. The slightly softer rear rate will likely be of benefit for increasing rear traction as you come out of corners, but remember your still not talking about a big drop in rear rate. Now if you were talking about G35 S or H-tech's, that that would be a significant rear rate drop vs your oem 427lbs rear springs.
