Question about ADR for VQ35DETT...
Chris,
On a previous post you stated that "ADR=CRAP". This concerns me because ADR is my first choice in wheels right now. And from other threads, I think there are also a few members considering ADR.
On your profile it states that you will soon be the owner of a performance shop, so I'm assuming that your statement about ADR has some sort of factual support.
Please share with us, so if ADR truly is a brand to be wary of, your fellow G35driver members will not make a mistake in purchasing them.
Thanks.

Re: Question about ADR for VQ35DETT...
Pimp, which ADR's did you get, and in what manner did they get/look "beat up"? Was it the road salt?
I'm in FL, so "winter and wheels" issues won't affect me...we don't have potholes either.
I'm a firm believer in not spending more than necessary, that's why I have a G and not a 330i; I also believe that running after a low price sometimes nets you inferior products. It's a thin line that's hard to navigate, unless aided with feedback from those who've tried before...like yourself and gdupg35.
So thanks for your input thus far, and if I ask a ton of questions, I'm not a doubter...just trying to navigate the thin line.
Hope I don't sound too full of __it .

Be weary of cheap wheels, you get what you pay for. Forged are the best.
This guy with a CL in my city hit a pothole at about 110km/h and this was the result.

Re: Question about ADR for VQ35DETT...
Anyone looking into ADR, I wanted to clarify again, that I do not think they are inferior wheels and actually look really nice. The defects I was talking about were really minor. If they don't hold up, it is not that expensive to get them rechromed, and will still end up costing less than some of the competition. Yeah, they may be heavy, but I'm not a racer and I don't care. If this is a real concern, get a tt kit or supercharger when they become available.

Re: Question about ADR for VQ35DETT...
Get the ADR's. If you're not running around with helium in your tires to save weight, and you're not interested in taking out a 2nd mortgage to pay for wheels, get them. Just keep them clean, and watch out for the errant pothole, just like you would with any other car, with any other rims. I've had mine for 8 months now, and I still get just as many compliments now as I did when I got them, because they look just as good! What the haters, I mean other posters (just kidding, save your replies) are saying is for the most part true, some models are copies of more expensive wheels, and they probably are heavier than more expensive wheels. I couldn't possibly care less about either of those issues, so it was any easy purchase for me. I also have to point out I was the first person that I'd seen with ADR Sterlings on this or any other website, so I've most likely had them the longest...
