Lowering front end only?

Looking for some input on the technical implications of lowering the "front end only" of my '05 Sedan (w/OEM Sport Suspension). The front sits almost an inch higher than the rear - it looks terrible to me, very SUV-like.

Is there any problem putting some 350Z springs on the front and leaving the current rear springs alone?

05 coupe sport springs are the same spring rate and will lower the front aproximately 1/2 inch.

Why don't you just swap all 4 springs out for aftermarket ones? Most of the spring kits out there will lower the front slightly more than the rear...curing your problem w/ the way it looks.

Actually, the fenders on most cars are just cut like that (front bigger/higher than rear) because the front wheels need to turn. But, I agree, it looks hideous.

Where would you get just 2 springs anyways? Most people would be selling all 4...no?

Good luck & post some pix when you're done! ^-^

I wouldn't. I think it will upset the handling too much. Without actually testing it out, I believe that there will be noticable differences, maybe not drastic, but possibly understeer, weight transfer, response maybe... My recommendation would be to hold out and save up for coilovers. That way you can adjust ride height. I am sure to some degree Infiniti designed the spring rate to be a certain level front to rear with particular ride heights. It's more a matter that the rates difference between two different cars in the front mixed with the other in the rear might not be a combination that helps other than aesthetics. (i realize some of what i just wrote seems to repeat itself, but i'm just having a dificult time explaining my point)

Like I said before, the coupe sport front springs are the same spring rate and will lower the sedan by 1/2". The rear coupe sport springs are stiffer and will lower a little more than a 1/2".

i was thinking about the 350z h-techs for some reason. if the z springs are the same rates as your sedan springs, go for it.
