I'm looking to make the rear of my 05 6MT look a bit better. It says these tires belong on a 9" wide wheel, but I saw pics on the forum of a 265/40 on an 8" wheel and it looked fine. I was hoping these would be able to fit on the 19x8.5 stock rear wheel. They are the same diameter as the stock 245/40/19 and should give a wide look.

BTW, was sondiering using the 285/35/19 Continental ContiSportcontact. 256 each on tirerack and only weight 25 pounds, seems light and good price.

Also, what size spacer would be good in the rear? Would the H&R 25MM spacer with the integrated studs push the rear 19x8.5 tire close to the fender?
