replacing rear pilots with es100s but not fronts? Problems?

I was just wondering if anyone has experience with thesee tires and their treadwear? I know their handling characteristics from my friend's sr20 s14, but he hasnt finished off the tires yet (nor would they be depictive of the treadwear of a g35 with considerable less racing/drifting).

also would this be a problem having different tires ont he front and rear? I may end up with a 660 dollar bill for rear pilots cause i need em NOW and am in houston and may have to leave for the hurricane... lol but if i dont... is there anything i need to be aware of with these tires?

yeah, i attest that the es100 tires are loud. i have 6k on them so far. they are really good bang for your buck performance tires though. probably the stickiest set of tires i've ever got for such a low price of $115 per tire. as for treadwear i've typically seen in the neighborhood of 20k if you don't drive like a jacka** all the time.

lol i got about 13k outa my pilots.... im hoping these last at least that long. I'm sure they will because when i first got the car i had a LOT of fun in it and have since chilled out. I have heard they are very loud, which doesnt bother me since i always have the stereo bumpin' some loud gangsta rap . I'm gonna just order the tires online, but WHERE the hell did you get em for 115 a piece?

Running diff tires front/rear should be fine, but Yoko ES100's are crap. Since you have the choice to go with any tire right now, I'd look into something else...

Well I got em for $115 through DiscountTire but that was in a 245/45/17 size. I'm sure your looking at 18's or 19's right?

Although the ES100's offer great performance for their value I'm going to step it up next time and get the Kumho Ecsta MX's since I track my car.
