Question about Blizzaks

I want to put Blizzaks on my factory 18's because of all the good things I read about them. The dealer recommends Dunlops because the M3 is available in the same 224/245 staggered configuration that is on our cars. I called tirerack to get a quote on the Blizzaks and the salesman recommended I go with the LM-22 (225/45/18) for the front and the LM-25 (245/45/18) for the rears to keep the same 224/245 stagger. Do you think I will have a problem going with two different types of threads on the front and rear wheels even though the tire sizes are correct.

LM-22 are available in 225/245 combo, you just have to find another source. Sounds like the dealer wants to make a sale at the expense of your saftey. You should never mix tire threads. The LM-22 will behave differently than the M3s in severe conditions. Do you really want you entire front end to be doing something totally different than your rear end?
