question for people who have changed there Brembo pads

I will change both front and rear this weekend with HPS pads.

What did you do with the shim/spacer that were with the oem pads?

Did you apply grease/brake quiet to back pad+ both side of shim?

I dont think my new HPS pads came with shims. My current OEM make NO sound I would like it to stay like that with new HPS pads.

I just put them in and I didn't use anything off the old pad. Use plenty of brake quiet if you don't want any squeek

for both front and rear?

Look like the shims are fixed to the front OEM pads but on the rear the seems to be free (separate parts).

I put in Project Mu B-Force pads, didn't use the shims, just the pads and a lot of brake quiet.

I just did front and rears two weeks ago. I reused the rear shims, put them on and applied disc brake quiet liberally to the back of the shim/pad assembly, but not between the shim and the pad. Fronts had no shims on my Hawk pads, and as mentioned above, the OEM brake shims are attached, so I went without. No problems or squeeks for me.
