Winter Rim size options for am '05 Coupe?

Can't decide if I'm getting bad advice or what! I'm looking to purchase an extra set of rims + dedicated snow tires. Read through all the threads on winter tire setups and had decided on 17"s + Dunlop WS M3's. Tried Tire Rack and a couple of local shops and some say I need 18" rims and some say 17's will work? Tire Rack says the rotors are larger on the '05 than on the '04 but I can't verify that anywhere. I thought the 17's based on everything I've read would be a better winter setup but will they fit? I have the sport susp package and stock 19's if that makes a difference. Can anyone offer accurate advice? Thanks.

Rotors are larger on the 05s but 17s will still fit.
