18” Wheel OEM Part#

I’ve search the forum and could not find answers to my question. I would appreciate if someone can help me.

I got my tire repaired at America’s Tire Co. in Carson, CA. In the process of mounting/dismounting my tire, the rim got damaged the rim. After some b!tching, America’s Tire Co. will be replacing the rim with a new oem rim at no cost to me. Considering that incident, I lost my confidence/trust in them so I decided to do some research to make sure they order the right rim. In the process, I found out that the front rims and the back rims have different part numbers.

Front: 40300AL425
Back: 40300AL426

From my understanding all 4 rims are the same size 18x8. So why the different part numbers? I’ve contacted the dealers to ask this question and no one could give me a straight answer (no surprise). Some say that the offset is different and others say that there is a “****” that makes the fronts different from the backs.

Pls. help to shed some light on this.

Thx in adx.

Larry

whoever told you there is a "****" is correct. The front and rear rims are the same dimensions, but the fronts have a hole in the middle that will accept the front fitment bolt. This bolt keeps a rear rim from being rotated to the front due to the diff in front & rear tire sizes.

If you want to remove the front fitment bolt from your car you will be able to use a rear rim on the front with no problem.

so actually, they can order either part number and it will work....if you want to put a rear rim on the front, just take off the front fitment bolt.
