My Nitto 555 tires are really noisy

I have the NT555 tires on 20" rims. I love them, but with about 2500 miles on them, they are pretty noisy. A lot more then at first. Just wondering if any one else with these tires is having the same problem that I have.

Road noise is usually caused by over inflated tires. Check your tire pressure.

I tried Nitto tires years ago and found them to be quite noisy...more them most...except Falken. I was told the 555 were better than the other Nitto's but maybe not. Get some Yokohama, Pirrelli or Michelins. They're better with less noise imo.

I got my 555's from www.revhighonline.com and they were noisy at first, and they told me what "Chico" said, and he was right. They were way over inflated, so I let the air out, and it's like night and day, they ride great, and aren't noisy at all!

Nitto's aren't what you think they are because of their price.

i checked them, and they are all at 34psi, I think that is normal. Do these tires requier a little less PSI?

How are they wearing? Did you get camber adjusters? The S-Techs will throw off your camber and this may be causing your tires to wear unevenly, causing the noise.

Lincoln MKX
The same issue here with my 265/40/R22 on my Lincoln MKX.

I noticed the difference immaterially after changing from Pirelli Scorpion. Now that I have about 6000 miles on them the noise has gotten soy loud to the point where people sitting in the back seat cannot hear others talk. The tire echo from highway road bumps are even louder, it sounds like hitting a truck tire with a bat.

Very disappointed at the NITTO NT555 EXTREME (the noun "extreme" should be used to describe the amount of noise it makes)

I will not buy NITTOs again.

Coupe 6MT Premium RAS
Keep in mind most UHP tires are noisy, that's part of the tradeoff.
