Wheel Spacers Pros and Cons ??

I'm thinking of getting either a 10mm or 15mm spacer for my oem 19s to push them out a bit and make them flush with the fenders.

i been looking around different site on spacers and some seem to be very cheap and some like H&R are about $160.

Anyone ever dealt with spacers before and know the difference? From what i see the H&R has studs built into it??? i dont know what they are for? Because other spacers just go between the wheel and the hub.

any opinions suggestions will be welcome.

Depending on how thick you go, you might need to get new hub bolts. Some spacers like H&R are more expensive b/c they're hubcentric. That's the ONLY way to go when it comes to spacers.

Yes i did notice that the H&R spacer is hubcentric, but will it work with OEM wheels and oem hub?

Interesting topic . . . Will the addition of the spacers affect the VDC and/or the suspension geometry and handling?

Common sense tells me that's definitely possible. I'm not sure how sensitive the VDC is, although with the offsets/stagger that I'm running (along w/alot of others on the boards), I doubt it matters anymore...

hey if you get spacers, you also have to get longer lug nuts right?

been asking around and seems like there are some spacers that use existing studs or there are some that come with their own.

My main thing is to get a wider stance from OEM 19" wheels which should give me better cornering and help me out with autoX.

I somehow doubt it that vdc has anything to do with spacer.

I'm running 15mm kics spacers for the past 9 months with no issues. I also got the 15mm hub centric ring for the front wheels to prevent any vibrations.

I had H&R hub centric spacers on my old Trans Am. It's good product. But I was a dummy and tried to take out the studs myself. Long story short, I broke the stud and had to bring it to the shop anyway to get the thing "pressed" out.

Needless to say I didn't want to mess with getting longer studs this time. Also, in case I sell the car, I didn't want to get the car re-studded with shorter studs (so that I could remove the spacer).

Actually, that is where I got my spacers from. http://www.optionimports.com/import-store/kiprwhsp.html

However, you have to call to get the hub centric rings (they aren't on the website). Pretty good customer service.
