Need help with tire decisions.

My wheels are here (Volks GT-7 Gunmetal 19x9.5 +30 & 19x10.5 +24)…I get them put on this Friday but I need some help on tire sizes…decisions decisions. I don’t plan to drop but after all my research I am still sooo confused.

Here is the dilemma…

I can get them put on Friday with 245/35/19 & 275/35/19 T1R’s which they have in stock.
--OR--
I can get them put on Friday with the Bad A$$ Bridgestone’s for the same price as the T1R’s!! They happen to have one set of theses in stock with a Major discount…but only in the size of 255/35/19 & 285/30/19?!
--OR ELSE--
I will have to wait another next week for the 255/35/19 & 285/35/19 T1R’s to come in.

Please help with suggestions…

Go for 255/35/19 & 285/35/19 T1R’s

I am running 245/35/19 & 275/35/19 T1R’s and they fine on the front but on the back it is a little stretched. I also want the front to be wider for the built in rim protection.

I was actually wondering the same thing. I ordered work vs-xx. I got 245/35/19 f and 275/35/19 in rear. i don't want a stretched look. So 285 in the rear is better? i am getting the same tires, also.
Thanks

Well, it will all depend on the size of your 19's...so what size is your 19's you planning on throwing the 285 on? Like if it was 9.5 or 9.0 I think 275 will probably look ok. But if your 19's where 10 or higher I think 285 will look better...mines is a 10.5.

SilverII has 275 on his 10.5, that is causing the stretch he is describing.

yep, my rear is 10.5 and front is 8.5. I think i need to call my guy and get 285 in the rear. Does the 285 rub in the back?

looks like you have the same offset as mine and 285 will certainly fit (if you are not dropped)

go with the 1st choice if you don't mind the just right look. go with the (i'm guessing S03's), simply because they're grrrreat and no look as bulgy/fat like T1R's. if you want to 4x4 meaty look, go with the sidewall flexing fatties you listed as your 3rd choice.

Thanks for the feedback, anyone have any pics, running 285/35/19 in the rear, as opposed to the 275/35/19?
Thanks

^ also, keep in mind not all tires look the same at 285/35, 285/30, 275/35, 275/30. different brands allow more clearance for fenders, etc. SO3's allow for clearance, T1R's don't.

Here's a pic of a 10.5" wide wheel with 275/35/19 tire on...i don't see much more stretch than on my current stock 19s...does anyone have a similar pic of some 285/35?
