245/40/18 & 275/40/18 are extremely common sizes for summer tires. I'm running Dunlop SP9000. Next time I plan on going with Dunlop Sport Max. Sue me, I like Dunlop tires. But, there are many choices out there.

245/40/18 front 275/40/18 rear are the recommended tire sizes for the 18" nismos. They don't make 275/40 winter tires, only summer and all-season. Even if they did it would be way too wide for driving in snow. They'll just roll over the snow instead of cutting through it. 225/50/17s all around are most commonly used by those driving in snow or even 225/50 f/235/50 r. But those would require a narrow 17" wheel.

Bought my '05 19s this summer and just ordered 4 Blizzaks to throw on my old, dealer scratched OEM 18s for the upcoming PA winter....

I figure they'll be just fine with a few sand bags in the trunk.

Good luck!
