Eibachs with 19s :)

Re: Eibachs with 19s :)
NIF,
Just called them and order the springs. My quote for 1 set of Eibach Pro Kit + installation + alignment + tax will be $505.xx Does this sound reasonable? The springs should be in early next week. I can't wait .
BTW, did you take the measurement before and after to see if you really got that 1.1 inch drop? Also has it dropped any more since the first day? I heard somewhere that it could drop as much as 1.5" which would be good especially for the front.
Cheers,

PratG35-
$505 is a good deal for parts + install + alignment + tax. That's bascially what I paid.
Althought the Eibachs are advertised to give you a drop of 1.1"F/1.1"R...my results were a bit different. Kin and I measured the car before the drop and than immediately right after the drop. The front had dropped by 1.5" and the rear had dropped 1.25".
I was really happy with the drop in the front....cause before the drop, my car really had that "lifted" look to it due to the gigantic wheel well gap in the front. I always considered the back decent before the drop...but after the drop the back was perfectly set.
I've had the Eibachs on the car for about 500 miles since I installed the springs. I haven't measured it again to check and see if more settling has occured. I did notice even tire tread ware...so that's a big plus.
Redwillow-
I appreciate the positive feedback Red. Clear corners, man I'm going to have to sleep on that one...I'm not sure yet. I'll have to see some pics with it on some platnium colored Gs.
Malx-
Thanks buddy

nif - i was unsure about the clears once like you. THEN i got them. Just let me tell you... they are the only way to go. The fact is the amber just dosen't match ANYTHING. Now every time i see a car with the amber it just sticks out like an ugly orange sore thumb. Get em, trust me, you won't be sorry. They will look very classy.

Your ride is sweet. Everything you did works, my man!
Have you made any adjustments to your camber? I have been researching the Eibach kit a little and I know lowering can throw things off to cause early tire/suspension wear.

Hmm...those clear corners are really starting to grow on me...I like em.

Thanks bud!
I didn't have to do any camber adjustment. I spoke with several Eibach techinal guys and there is no need for a camber kit. That's why eibach didn't make one for the G35sedan. All that needs to be done is an alignment right after the drop. I've put 700 miles on the car with the eibachs and I have noticed good even tread wear. I'm taking the car back to the shop to re-check the alignment in a week...cause people have said the springs might settle just a bit more.
Note: when you lower a car don't go to your local corporate tire shop....go to a good performance shop...cause they (the performance shop guys) will set the alignment up for best possible tread wear and they will know how to handle expensive wheels.
