Tires: Falken GRB FK-451 vs. Cooper Zeon 2XS
Hey guys ... I am in the process of buying new summer performance tires to replace my pilot sports. I was wondering if anyone has feedback on either the Falken GRB FK-451 vs. Cooper Zeon 2XS.
Thanks

FYI here is what they look like (they have very similar tread to the Pilot Sports):

The Toyo's are actually a bit more. I am looking at the size 245/45/18's and so far have found $122/tire for the Coopers and $141/tire for the Falkens.
I've had my Falken GRB FK-451 for about 2 months now. I like them, especially for the price. The Toyo's were one alternative, but they are more expensive. Road noise didn't improve from my Michelin Pilot sports, but then again, I went from 18" wheels to 20" wheels, and they're 30 series tires in the rear, so I can't really make a fair comparision. Overall, I'd say that for the price, there's not much better.

Quick follow up ... I got the Falken GRB FK-451's (245/45/18's) installed today at Goodyear and got to drive it pretty hard .. Tires are awesome so far, at least in the dry, cornered better than the Pilot Sports, look awesome too. Got them for $141/each at www.vulcantire.com too.
I'll follow up on them once I get to drive them in the rain.

I've just discovered these tires, as well as the great price ($189 for 245/40/19's) and if they're decent, this is what I'll get. I don't race, so no need to get the Goodyear F1's
.
Thanks

They do not make anymore noise than my OEM tires (goodyear RSA 17's)
If you are looking for quiet Falkens, with great wear and good performance try the St-115's. Those things are quiet!!
for about $40 more i would rather get the BF Goodrich g-Force T/A KDW

Just a Follow up ....
I have the Falken GBR-451 245/45/18 's on my 2005 G35x w/ about 5K Miles on them so far ... They are great tires .. great traction and solid construction .. wear is good so far .... only slight negative is they are slightly noisey, but not much different then Mich Pilots.
Highly Recommended !!

Those are way too aggressive looking for my taste.... they seem like they'd be noisy...no? Do people actually put those on their G's?
