need help with axis seven mods

i recently visited my local wheel shop and i was told that the axis seven mods will not fit over the brembo brakes in a 20x8.5 front and a 20x10 rear. but i was paging through the rides on this site and i saw a coupe with these wheels with the brembo brakes. if anyone can give me any information i would really appreciate it.

Re: need help with axis seven mods

Hey McGowan,
Nice choice, I too were looking into the S7even mods a couple of months ago. They told me the same thing at the shop I went to. However, I found out from this forum that they will fit as long as you buy spacers for the front wheels with them and the spacers would in turn require some longer wheel studs to mount the new wheels. Rajc007 went through this but he got them on and they look awesome on his G. He has one of the best looking G coupe on the forum IMHO. I think his is the only 6MT G with S7ven Mods on and the other one is a 5AT G without brembos. Just do a search with the words wheel studs or spacers and you will know what to do. Below is the link to the thread with pics of the Nismo studs needed to put the front wheels on with spacers to clear the brembos.

Also try calling Axis yourself and ask them about the spacers and the wheel studs for G35 coupes with brembos cause I think they might sell them there too or at least know how and where to get them if not. They are Nismo wheel studs. Not 100% sure though. Hope this helps. Oh, what color G35C do you have?

Here's a pic of Rajc007's sweet ride. Hope you don't mind, Raj. Tell me how everything turns out, McGowan. Good luck.

Found some pics of the wheel spacers Raj put on the forum too, I believe they are 20mm. But check with Axis to make sure on that.

Re: need help with axis seven mods

Thanks for the compliments HGS_G.

If you're getting the 19x8, +35 offset, 245/35/19 tire on the front, you will need a 20mm hubcentric spacer. You can get these from http://www.motorsport-tech.com/ ...speak to Junior, they should be about $125 for the pair.

Since you are using the spacers, you will also need to get Nismo extended wheel studs so there is enough thread left. You can get these from Steve @ Nismo, 310-538-2610 ext. #3. They are $85 plus shipping.

My rear wheels are 20x10, +38mm offset. Those go on just fine with no modifications. The tires are 285/30/20.
