Can any other tire size fit closely and still safely in place of 225/45/18? Such as 225/40/18?

are there and good non-directional tires out there for the 6mt 18's
40 bucks a tire to flip every rotation hurts.

What about the PZero Nero Tires? They're not the best in the performance category, but I heard they're one of the quitest tire on the road.

I love the michelin's ... I went with Pilot Sport A/S for my 2nd set. they have a tread rating of 400 and will last a decent amount of time. Plus they stick to the road VERY well...

Why no S03's? I had them on T-78 turboed Supra few years ago and they were amazing tires. There are better tires out right now but it is still a good option. Great traction in both wet and dry, and slides were easy to control.

Did the ride quality or road noise get better when you switched to the Sport A/S? I'm trying to trade my 18's for someone's 17's and am planning to get the Sport A/S for the 17's. Would you recommend them?

I would recommend them... My OEM Pilot sports lasted me for about 35K miles if not a bit longer if I recall. So I went with the A/S the 2nd time to try to get a little more use out of them. I drive ALOT for my work (50K in 2 years) and tires are very important to me. The Pilots cost $$$ but if money is not to much of an object I would highly recommend them. I have about 10K on them now and have no complaints at all. They are not the quietest tires though and I do hear a bit of road noise since they are a tad bit harder.

What do you guys think about the Avon Tech 500 & the Avon Tech 550 A/S tires? I emailed Tirerack.com, and they recommended me the Avon Tech 500 to reduce road noise and to improve ride quality. The only problem I see with these is that they way 31 pounds!!!

What about the Kumho ECSTA ASX? They get pretty good ratings and they only way around 26 pounds. (I got the weight from tirerack.com)
