Wheel N Tire coverage from Infiniti

Do some of you remember when you first bought the car the dealer offered wheel and tire coverage on the car?

Did you guys take that?.. I mean incase the rims were to crack or tire was to go flat it would be covered by Infiniti to fix and replace it.

I asked the salesman repeatedly does this cover aftermarket rims as well and he said yah.. so I took the offer, incase I get 19's for the summer and run over a pothole I don't want to have a damaged wheel, many pot holes in MA.

He said they wouldn't cover anything over 19" rims tho because that's whats standard on the 06

I think there are some independent companies that offer wheel insurance. It like $50 a month and if they ever get stolen or chipped, etc they replace them.

The dealer said they would cover aftermarket rims and I also asked them this a few times to make sure.. I hope they do for aftermarket in the summer.

But really.. how many times do you guys get flats or rim damage I can't see this happening if at all.

I've never had anything bigger than 18" rims before.

I refused the tire coverage. I figured I've been driving in this town for 13 years and only had one flat tire it didn't seem worth it (the package was $300+). Less than a month later I had nails in all four tires. Somethign about the softer rubber they use on the performance tires means they pick up nails better I guess.
