17" Vs 18"
hello ppl.
I have searched through a lot of threads and am almost ready to order my winter setup for my g35MT
. I called up tirerack and they have un out of the 17" dunlopm3's. they only have the 18" ones left. Can any one tell me if the 17" are far better than the 18" or not? The setup's costing me arnd 1400$
155 per rim and 175 per rear piece and 225 per front tire. Wuz wondering if these are decent quotes?
Thanks for the lots of replies iam goin to get

If you flat out want the best winter set up.. 17 is the best choice, but 18 can work
but you need to decide how much you drive in bad conditions etc.
BTW what car??
Big brakes?

17s are good because you have more tire selections and they're cheaper than those of 18" rims. I was debating on going with 17x9 and 17x10 in back, but plans of a 14" StopTech BBK put that idea to a stop.
17s will provide a better ride as well. I have had summer 18s and winter 17s in the past. Winters in NE have roads with ruts and so forth. The ride is much better with the 17s in the snow.. And as people have said there are more tire chocies...
