Tire pressure on winter tires.

My Low Tire pressure Light keep on coming on after i installed winter tires.. I already put 37 psi into it. my stock 19 inches rims only have 35 psi.

how would i resolve the problem.

Did you use the same rims? Or different rims? Cause there is a sensor that is integrated into the valve stem of the stock rims that sends the data to the car and hence the car will know what your tire pressure is. But if you used new rims and tires, you wont have those sensors to let the car know, and the light will come on. The sensors are really expensive, so most people dont get sensors for their winter set ups.

Use the same air pressure as recommended by the manufacturer (provided it doesn't exceed the max for the replacement tires.)

The dealer will explain about the sensors, and whether the warning system can be turned off.

new rims and tires. so i guesss there is no sensor on these wheels.

tiresrack put like 40 psi into it, I think it's too much. so I lowered it to 37 psi. often the low tire pressure will come on after 15 mins of drive.

Be careful not to go too high a pressure, bro....or you won't get optimum traction.....If I were you, I'd put in 35 and maintain in at that. (check weekly)

The warning system is going off because it can't sense tire pressures at all due to the lack of sensors.

The amt of PSI will depend on your tire/wheel size. For example... 17" requires 30-32 PSI.
And you don't need sensors for winter sets.
Plus it's common practice to check PSI once a month anyway, so you can't go wrong.
