Brembo clearance 17x9 FN01R-C ???

Has anyone fitted a 17x9 +35 and 17x10 +35 on their brembo equiped coupe? I'm pretty sure the 17x10 will clear the rear. though I'm unsure about the front caliper and rotor. I'd like to keep that concaved look as well.

anyone?

thanks!

offset wise, yes. diameter wise, probably not.

crap, looks like I have to see if anyone of the drift session guys would let me test fit their rims. I really want to go down to 17s because race tires for 17s are cheaper.

Your wheel wells can fit lower offsets too.

Dunno yet, I still getting feed back from some of the local racers. Our fastest guy is on Toyo RA-1 gumshoes, in fact a lot of the class leading guys are using RA-1, so I'm leaning towards them. The price I got for RA-1s for 17" staggered rim fitment is $900 shipped for all four tires. If I stuck to the 18s and mounted them on the Kazeras, the RA-1 would cost 1262.00 shipped. BIG difference in price...that's why I want to go down to 17s.

I test fitted a 17x9 +35 and 17x10 +35 on the front rotors. The 17x9 +35 cleared the brembo calipers, but clearance behind the wheel was a bit tight conlcuding the +25 or +15 would be a better choice up front. I also mounted a 17x10 +35 with a spacer, I think it's a 10mm spacer, and clearance was really tight in back...much like the 17x9 w/out the spacer. Jason@Performance on MY350Z suggested I go with 17x10 +25, which would be like running the +35 w/the spacer. I quandering aboug going with +12 but I'm worried about the rim sticking out TOO much. I really liked how the 17x10 +35 w/spacer looked up front. mounted and suspension at static rest...it cleared the fender no problem. I'd have to use stretched tires up front. I may go with the +25 all around, but I'd still have to run a staggered tire size. I could always run a small spacer up front to add for additional wheel clearance and run longer wheel studs. we'll see what happens.

is it the same wheel? wheels vary a lot because of it's design.

the rims were different, the 17x10 had the aggressive spoke flares, and cleared the brembo calipers nicely. the 17x9 pad height was higher. I would need a spacer with the 17x9 to give additional clearance anyways. I read on MY350Z that 17x9 +15 (f) and 17x10 +12 (r) are the ideal rim sizes. So I may go with a 17x10 +25 w/255/40 stretched and 17x10 +12 with 275/40. I could go with 17x9 +15 all around and use 275/40 all around too. we'll see what happens.

^ i'd run the +25 in the rear instead as well. however, as low as the treadwear rating on the RT's, expect them to last just a couple runs maybe since you're gonna stretch them quite a bit. you'll have unbelieveable grip though. you'll absolutely love it. as far as the fronts...i'd run the +15 up front but get Kics Project spacers instead. trust me, it's a much better choice. less hassle, and peace of mind. Kics are priced very attractively too these days.

Ordered 17x10 +12 and +25, I'll post pictures of them when I get tires mounted and on the car. My predictions is that there's going to be crazy wheel gap, but it should be taken cared of when I get the coilovers installed. where can I get 10mm Kics, arent they more expensive than the H&R DRS spacers? I was going to try on the Mr. Gasket spacers for now.

you can get Kics anywhere online. i think optionimports might have them too. get the Kics. don't you need extended studs with Mr. gasket?? Kics are all in one. JDM bullay. you will not cover the wheel gap even with the coilovers because your frame will hit the ground before your fender covers the wheel!!

I know, I'll give it a subtle lowering, if it's one thing that's worse than bottoming out your suspension, it's bottoming out on your frame

I've changed from RA-1 to using V710 because they have more relative sizes. the 235/40 is a bit much to stretch...it'll go...but the staggered ratio will be too affected, 255/40 will square out too much and it will hit the suspension assembly.... V710 come in 245/45 and those will stretch nicely and wont affect the staggered ratio toooooooo much when I pair it up with 275/40. Their tread design would suck for the street (hawaii's random weather settings) so it's a good preventative measure for me to not use them on the street like my last set. So tire rack...here i come!!!!
