Low Pressure Light

This is a first time post for me here at G35 Driver. I have been lurking in the fringes on this board reading at and learning a lot. I am glad that we have a resource and a common interests. I am new to this so I don't know if I am posting on the correct board ... my apologies if I am.

My question: I just drove 400+ miles for the holidays and it seems like that after an half an hour of driving my low pressure light comes on. At first it freaked me out and I pulled over and checked the pressure. The tires where not low by any means but I filled them all to 44psi. I started the car, no light, drove away from the gas station and sure enough a half an hour later the light came on. I checked my tires again ... no pressure loss. Sure enough the light wasn't on when I started the car and drove off but a half an hour later the light came on. Has anyone else experienced this phenomenon? If so is it an easy fix for the dealer or is it something I can do?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hey there welcome to the boards. I'm sure your have the stock 17" on your ryde so I'm not familiar with the PSI ratings on your tire. I was gonna ask if you physically checked the tires but read you filled them up to 44psi. One question, is the low pressure light going on and off or is it constantly on? And to dbl check, a long *beep* sounded when the light came on right? I'd definitely go back to the dealer and have them take a look. They either have to reset the sensors or replace them.

Thanks for the quick reply ... I have the sport setup from the factory ... so it's the 19" rims. I believe that they are rated to the 45+ psi. I physically checked them everytime that the sensor went on. It didn't beep but just came on and stayed on. I guess I should have the dealer take a look.

I've never had this happen to me, but I've heard of spare tires setting off the low pressure alarms too.

Check your tire pressure again when cold. The pressure can be off several psi when warm.

Check the interior of your door jamb for the proper pressure to fill your tires to.

If you still have problems with the TPM light going off, check with your dealer, they may have to reset your tire pressure gauges.
