Wheels......

It's about time for me to get some soon. I have a budget of about 1000-1200 max for just the wheels alone. Tires I will worry about later.

My requests are a chome lip, deep dish, and black inside spokes.

I need to fit the maximum size tire and wheel under all 4 of my wheel wells. So I need help with the correct offsets, and sizes.

19" is the size I plan to hit. And I want a staggered look. Currently my car isn't lowered yet. But I do plan on lowering it some to make the wheelwell gap disappear and still keep the stock ride quality.

Any advice on wheels and sizes? I have searched and this topic is hard for me to decide on the correct size, offsets, etc.

Here is the wheel I like a lot, but can't seem to find any prices or dealers.

For a budget of $1000 for wheels alone, you can't really get anything of quality. Each wheel of mine alone is worth about $1000. (You can see them in the Check out my wheels section.

I'd say up the budget or save your $$$ for something else. 19" tires alone will run you about $900 alone at minimum.

Those Work VS-XX your looking at will probably cost about $2-3 grand. Try this website out, you might find something used for your price range:

http://www.memoryfab.com/wheels/used/index/19/

Just my 2 cents.

You can probably get some TSW's for your price. Zenetti's are also pretty cheap.
I agree the best thing is to save up for better quality wheels or shop for used.

+1
Depending on which stock wheels you have, you are better off keeping them. You will get a lesser wheel in that price range.

Double your spending or stay stock.

I see that you guys spent like 1,000 a wheel. I mean, there are some decent ones I think (example Moda R6 for $250 a wheel for 19 inch). I mean, aside from nicer and lighter weight etc, what is the difference between a $250 wheel vs a $1,000 wheel? Sorry for the stupid question. I guess similar question to what's the difference between a hyundai and an infiniti .

I very disagree that you cant buy anything with $1000...cmon, mostly all cast wheels are of same quality cuz its made in China these days...the price differential comes into play because of advertising and marketing costs...the only difference in a quality of wheel is if it is a forged wheel or multipiece wheel where the cost of making them is higher...by the way...i know this since I've been working in the wheel industry for a long long time...

Thank you Cru. What size tires are the max recommended for our sedan that we can fit?

I think a $1200 budget should get you some decent rims. I wouldn't do the chrome/black look though. I had that setup on my 96 Maxima back in 1999 and I got sick of it after 6 months. The black center makes the rim appear smaller, you don't get a good view of the lines, and the setup just doesn't look right on a somewhat classy 4-door. It's too trendy and within 1 year you'll want some different. I'd suggest getting a wheel with a timeless design (like high end Bimmers) with a polished lip and silver painted center. That's just my opinion.

I've had excellent results with ASA rims which are licensed by BBS. They're cheap and really light. I plan on getting 18X8 ASA AR1 (22lbs) for $219/ea from the Tirerack or maybe the Shuk BS1 (18X7.5/18.8X8.5, 22lbs) for $199/219 ea.
