Best springs

ok heres another thread that should generate some interest (i hope) im interested in lowering my coupe. what i mean is that i want it to look noticeable. not crazy low below the wheels or anything but then again not half inch and not noticeable at all. my question is which should i get? i was told that the Eibach dont lower very much and one can barely notice. ive been told about the Sprint springs and people have told me that i would probably need to adjust my cambers with an extra purchase part or parts to even out. what do you guys think?
I know this might be a dumb question but i know at least someone has done this, has anyone out there cut their stock springs if so, how low is your car, how much did you cut, and how is the ride. thanks guys and girls (Ggirl) hope we get good responses here. RacerX

Re: Best springs

Cut springs ride like crapola, and ruin the handling of the vehicle. Trust me I've done it before. You can always spring for the adjustable coil over's which are pretty pricey, but allow you a bunch of adjustment.

Just get some big rims. I got 20's and Eibach's and it fills up the wheelwells perfectly.

Also, cutting the stock springs will not cure the need for camber adjustment/kits.

Re: Best springs

the g35coupe is very heavy and cut springs will make your shocks go out fast. I cut 2 coils off some old skewl Eibach Grand Slams a while back. That was scary, my shocks eventually gave out and I could feel every bump. You lose a lot of control and any bump can through you sideways into a guard rail.

Have you ever been on a water bed? That's how your car will feel, each corner of the car will be unbalanced and turn your car into a rolling water bed.

Re: Best springs

So what do you think is the best to do for our G's suspension wise (do not take money into account)? What's probably the best spring you can buy and all that other stuff?

Thanks - Joey Avino

Totally dependent on your priorities.

Ride comfort, wanting to either improve on not degrade from stock with little regard to suspension performance via stiffening the suspension ='s Progressive lowering springs only, with one exception (Eibach, H&R, Sprint, HKS hypermax coilover's, ect) The RSR down springs are the odd man out in this lot as they are NOT progressive so they can't be a ride quality inhancement like the progressive ones , their listed spring rate isn't any stiffer than stock and they lower the least at .6" But the RSR springs would be perfect for someone that does not want to make the progressive spring compromise on performace and only want a mild drop.

Performance driving where you want higher suspension performace levels and know this might mean lower ride quality levels.='s Coilovers (All manufactured unit's apply here except the HKS hypermax system) Tein basic, Tein SS, Tein W/EDFC, Cusco Zero1 & Zero2, Veilside standard & prosports, Jic FLT-A2, Jic FLT-A2RS (944lbs & 1062lbs spring rates!!!)

Re: Best springs

Help me out. I want to do suspension. I'll rephrase my question. I can care less how many bumps I feel in the road. What do you think is the best performance suspension mod than?

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: Best springs
