Yep. My stock shocks are the sport pkg sedan, like yours. After researching different set ups and requirements, I felt that this would be the best for my situation.

I'm lagging tho...I STILL have to put these damn things on! My kids are keeping me too busy .

I just bought a set of Tien S tech springs. Gonna keep the wheels and lower it. If it rubs, then I will put the stock wheels until i can get the fenders rolled.

Here's a pic of 05 coupe rims on my 03.5 6MT. The angle may be a little better to see the fit.

is that lowered in anyway? i was planning on getting those wheels + adding tein s-tech springs, or would it be too much of a drop?? if so is the h-tech worth it? i just dont want a huge gap.

No, not lowered. Stock 03.5 MT sport underpinnings.

I'd like to lower it about 3/4" all around for visual effect, but between the $ to do it and keeping the nose from dragging in steep driveways, I'll probably leave it as is.

No rubbing at all? Even with people in the back and hitting a bump? I'm thinking about doing the same thing, but just want to make sure that the minimal offset isn't going to be a problem. I also want to be able to lower it to get rid of some of the wheel gap, and don't want to worry about rubbing.

Jenn and elfsblackg35:

What tires and tire size are you running on those 19s? I'm also interested in this setup but want to avoid rubbing. I assuming anything bigger than a 245 would probably cause some rubbing.

No problems with rubbing. Plenty of clearance with *unmodified sport 6mt suspension*.

Tires are 225/40 in front and 255/35 in back (stock for these rims on the coupe if I'm not mistaken). Sizes are very close to the stock tires in diameter, so no problems with the stabilty control. Poke around the tire/wheel postings on the tech board, there are several nice tire size calculator locations posted, that's how I dialed in on these.

NOTES:
1) These are a full set of staggered size coupe rims, not one size all around. 19x8 F, 19x8.5 R.

2) These are the same tire size combo as Boxster, so the sizes are a little more pricey than some other combo's.

Noticed a slight increase in road noise transmitted on very rough road surfaces compared to the stocker 17" Goodyear's, but in day to day service, nothing to complain about on the NVH scale. Turn in and feedback is significantly better.

Thanks. I thought the 255's would've have definitely stuck out a bit more. Looks good.

I'd like to ask for everyone's opinion. I know that if you're running a staggered tire setup (like 225/40 in front, 255/35 in rear), there's no rotating the tires. But, let's say I run the same size tires all around (ex: 225/40 on all 4 corners) with the staggered wheel setup of the coupe, do you think it's ok to rotate the tires? What do you guys/gals think?

I think you're right, now that I think back about it. I used the 255's to keep the diameter as close front to back and to the original tires as possible. These two sizes are both very close (1% or so) to the 215/55-17's that came off.

Hope this helps
Do you have pictures with the wheels before you dropped it? Was it still nice with the 19inch not dropped?

Nice car, nice aero-kit

what is the price of those wheels, and the price of those tires?

Thanks

elfsblackg35 has no issues with rubbing on stock springs and it looks GREAT and Jenn has a 1.1" drop with no issues-------so what's the problem?

Much safer to me than spending 4 grand on 19" aftermarkets and then deciding you don't like them anymore or are bored.

Hi Jenn--Your car looks fantastic. I eventually want a black version of yours, like elfsblackg.

Went to "see all threads started by jenn" and found your pics easily--thanks

My black g in the middle, and what I want mine to look like on the right--elf's--maybe with a slight drop.

Maybe I would go with coupe or 350z springs for a drop in between yours and stock
