Can I add 18" rim to stock model?

Hi,

I saw Black Coupe today with (I think) 18" Rim, and it looked so nice! (Around 2:30PM in Rivermark mall in Santa Clara)

I will get G35c pretty soon now but all G35cs in the dealers' inventory do not have 18" rim package on them. Is it possible to ask dealer to add 18" rim (just rim or package) to the existing car? I didn't realize how much nicer G35c gets with 18"!

I'm sure you can have them add the 18's after. But they will most likely have to order them from Japan as they did when they replaced one of mine recently. My question to you is why not save the rest of the cash for some even nicer 19's? I think they told me that they run about $500 a wheel plus the cost of the bigger tires, (Michillin Pilots are expensive). After everything you are out the door for almost the cost of aftermarket wheels. Unless they gave you some really good credit from your old wheels seems like a bad deal to me. I'm kinda ticked I didn't think about that before I bought mine. I coulda saved that cash for some much nicer rims maybe 19" in size and 10.5" in the rear and 9" in the front. Just some food for thought. Peace.

Thanks for your input, Jason.

But as far as I know the perfomance package is only $650 as option. Wouldnt it be more expensive to get aftermarket for $500 + tires + installation?

I am not familiar with aftermarket or mods (shame on me!) so I need to go through shops or dealer in order to get them installed on my car...

The performance & wheel option costs about $650 from the factory. The dealer will charge around $500 per wheel so it would come out to $2000 4 rims + $524 front tires + $556 rear tires, would come out to $3080. I agree with ReDRoK8 it would be better just to get aftermarket 19”.

The dealer would charge that much if he agreed on a trade. Trade the wheels from a Sport Equipped car, to yours. He would then charge you the $650.00 Performance Tire & Wheel package cost. The only problem with this is that the car with the Swapped 17s would now have LSD, and you wouldn't. If LSD is important to you, and it should be, remember that the package includes it.

Easier said than done, I highly doubt that a dealer would do all that for just $650.

Just wait for a car with 18's to become available, and get the car with 18s. That's the easiest way to pay $650. Shop around, look at other dealerships, and you'll find one with 18s.

G35 Coupe. Diamond Graphite, Graphite, Premium and wheel and Tire package. Zaino Baby.
