What are you going to do about your speedo? Can it be re-calibrated on these cars?

I did the same here in Puerto Rico - but the machine shop inserted one wheel in to the other so i have to deliver him two wheels .They inserted about 2" in each other so you will only see one welding line in the inside and other in the out side and it is twice stronger than stock wheel - BTW i did in the 18" now the wheels are 18" x 10.5" in the rears - I have H&R springs and i wonder if the H&R 25mm will fit in my car - the measurement from ground to bottom is 26-1/2" rear and 24-1/2" front - did you think i will have any problem if i go 305-35-18 in the rears

10.5" = 266.5mm + 3/4" of rim lips wide x 2 = 38.5mm more = 266.5 + 38.5 = 305 so 310mm wheel fit and look perfect.

^He is using them for auto-x and tracking. The stock 17's and 18's suck at traction around a auto-x course. I'm definitely interested in doing this.

Baily - So shipping is only $20? How?

Anyone know of a place in socal that can do this kind of work?

But you have to send it to them, which probably costs $40-$50 per rim, right? How much heaver are they than stock?
How's the ride afterwards?
If you didn't use any spacers in the rear would they still fit and would they still look flush with the fender?
Also, could you please post some angle and side pictures.
And how safe is it for the structural integrity of the wheels?

nope shipping there was $15.65 per rim(UPS) to get there & they charged me $18 per rim(FEDEX) to get them back to me.
they gained <3lbs of weight per rim.
ride is the same, but I can really now whip around corners. tons of grip. I moved my 275's to the front so I now have lots of rubber all the way around.
Wth out spacers the rims would sit in the wheelwell just like the stock rims, but you'd only be able to widen them to ~9.5 inches due to the back spacing & space inside the wheelwell.
In terms of integrity, I read quite a bit & they sould be just as strong as the stock rims. I'll be doing alot of racing this spring & will do a follow up report.

I'll get more pics when it warms up some & my car is clean.
I'm waiting for my KurumaZ bumper, now.
