tire pressure monitor sensitivity?

On very cold mornings, (40 - 50 deg F), i start driving and about 1/4 mile my tire pressure monitor comes on and stays on till i get to work. When i leave work, the light dissappears. I go and check the tire pressure at the gas station and its fine. Whats wrong with the sensor? Is it just that sensitive to temperature??? Does this happen to anyone else? What PSI are you guys filling your tire to? This only happens on cold mornings.

Thanks in advance
jeff

Maybe the air expans as it gets hot which puts your psi above the level of what the computer considers to be a flat

For a week i ran 29psi, and about 7 days later the light came on. Aired up to 34psi and light off.

I assume it lights up when psi goes below 29 psi.
AND/OR like he said, the air expands when hot. So it thinks you have more air.

You need to be setting it at 35psi cold. Once you've driven it the pressure will rise. Try about 38psi with warm tires.
